Open Banking Report
The focus for this project was split into two halves. First was to establish a concept for the reports cover that focused on how fintech is emerging more and more within Canada. The second was to build a report that had to have a simple and clean aesthetic to it whilst the containing fintech style imagery.
The theme around the cover was What the framework for Canada Banks could look like in an open banking world. As the focus was on fintech in Canada, I was purely trying to play off something that was linked to Canada that was instantly recognisable. This ranged from maple leaves to landscapes that had a Canadian aesthetic that all adhered to the Deloitte brand guideline of the circular theme.
1st Cover Concept
Working alongside the project manager on this brief, we both came to the conclusion that the report only really made sense when it was showing more of the fintech side of things, so from the original ideas only the Canadian maple leaf was taken over, as it is an instantly recognisable symbol for Canada, so it became the focal point.
The next stage was experimenting with various ideas that focused around imagery that had data/network/digital aesthetic to it. This idea was meant to represent the ever-evolving technology of our lives, as now technology has firmly fused itself with how we manage our finances, how we interact with our banks and how different fintech concepts are always emerging.
